Convinced that marrying a maid—who happens to be his wet nurse's daughter—would trash the family honor, Fereydoon’s dad ships him off to America and fakes it like he’s already married. Crushed, Nini bails, and before long she’s working as a hooker. But when Fereydoon gets back, he tracks her down and forces her to marry him. On their wedding night, he makes all his reluctant-ass family members show up to the party. It doesn't take long, though, before Nini throws herself in the ocean and drowns.
