Mansyur finds his two grandchildren, Nurani and Arya, abandoned at the home of his son-in-law, Ahmad. Ahmad was forced to leave his two children behind to seek his fortune in the city in order to provide a better life for them. Mansyur, who lost his daughter, Maisaroh (Auliany Dewi), after she gave birth to Arya, is angry at Ahmad for causing Arya to have a disability in one of his legs. Ahmad made a mistake while trying to help his wife give birth. Nurani also has a disability that limits her ability to speak. Mansyur is thus forced to take care of his two grandchildren. Upon entering elementary school, Nurani and Arya must face various challenges and obstacles at their school.
